A funeral on Sunday for one of the militants killed in the Shopian district of Kashmir. “For every 10 killed, 20 more will join until this land is freed from Indian occupation,” one protester said.

Over 20 Kashmiris were killed today by the Indian forces in Kashmir. 100s have been injured. Houses burned down to the ground, people blinded with pellets. The internet services have been snapped again by the Indian state. The hurriyat have called for a shutdown for at least next 2 days. It’s still not clear how many are critical and battling for their lives at various hospitals. It’s a complete mayhem. India thinks that by using her military might it may be able to silence people and force them to surrender their legitimate aspirations for right to self determination but we all know that’s not ever going to happen.
